Eliminate Deadly Mistakes to Create an Impressive Logo Design
It is human nature to want to get the best out of any situation, especially if we are on the threshold of developing a new business. We live in a competitive world where everything is result-oriented and we need to work hard to minimize losses. People the world over are cautious when it comes to investing or spending money due to the economic turmoil that we face. Therefore spending on essentials has become a required criteria as our success in the business world depends on it so we think carefully before we select the right design firm who we hope will give us the perfect custom logo design for our line of business.
How does one tell if the graphic design they choose will be the winning design? Here are 5 tips that will help you evaluate the logo maker and help to start the design process.
The first aspect that one should be careful about is learning to keep the logo design simple and straight. You need to limit the words and icon as over-crowding the same will produce counter and negative effects. Any reputable logo designer will advise you to keep the logo simple and uncomplicated when creating design concepts so that it is easily remembered by your clients. You require getting professional logos that project your expertise using a great branding and limited words.
You will get the basic idea of the commercial design when you start looking at the end result in black and white. Creating corporate identities involves a lot of spade work before come up with professional business logos that speaks volumes for your business. Try to restrict the color scheme to just 2 colors to ensure that the branding image is not lost on your customers. Make sure the results look great in black and white.
You may have vibrant colors and the right font size and style. However, if your business logo does not represent the icon or message you want to project, you may end up sending the wrong signals. Why would you want your creative illustration to suggest a great fast food restaurant when you were actually the owner of a computer shop? Your urgent need is to help customers visualize your corporate identity and not get mistaken identity results!
Your ultimate aim is to attract the right traffic to your website and business. Therefore stay away from discussions regarding religion or politics as this could prove to be major deterrents to promoting your business. Make your design guru aware of this salient point. You should understand that your logo will serve different platforms in order to promote business online as a typical seo consultant would advice. You should therefore get a business logo that can be scaled to any size and yet maintain great clarity and focus. You could face a major problem if your end design was just a messy piece of art. A great piece of advice is to use the Adobe Illustrator once you have got multiple creative illustrations sketched out by the design firm. Refine the end results and create a detailed logo design with your logo designer so that you have all the details of images sorted out and finalize the sketches before going into the Illustrator. At this phase, you should make a case study of the design concepts which include size, type options and multiple choices for an award winning brand name.
Use the Illustrator for helping you decide on the ultimate custom logo. Do not try to get into Photoshop for logo design as this is has raster images that will use pixels that do not work as well as the Illustrator. You can adjust the quality using mathematical points for your art work. Finally, end the entire operation with color and perfect typographic rendering and design guarantees.
Use a typeface that will suit the design concept so that you get the best results. Understand each typeface and how it will affect the result. For example a modeling agency would use a serif, thin font or script, while a rally for the monster truck would look for bulky, strong, serif fonts with a bold font. These are vital points that your logo designer should keep in mind to get value for your money.
IMAP Email Hosting
To the average person, email is email. It has always worked and it always will continue to work. But the technical person is keenly aware that the way email works under the hood has gone through evolutions of its own and the same with email hosting. There are different protocols that email client programs and email servers use in order to communicate with one another, in order to send and receive email messages.
SMTP - Simple Mail Transfer Protocol
POP - Post Office Protocol. Also commonly referred to as POP3, for it is the 3rd major version of this protocol. (Yes it has undergone 3 major revisions since it's original inception.)
IMAP - Internet Message Access Protocol
Each of these 3 protocols serves a different purpose and works in different ways.
SMTP is used for sending, or "relaying", email outbound from your email client program, and out onto the Internet, onward towards its destination. It is responsible for "delivering" the mail from your mailbox to someone else's mailbox.
POP is used for retrieving mail from your mailbox and downloading it into your email client program.
IMAP is also used for retrieving mail from your mailbox. However, there are a couple of major differences between POP versus IMAP:
1. POP downloads your emails into your email client, deleting them off of the server (although this behavior can be overridden). IMAP, on the other hand, leaves your messages on the server, so that you can access them again from anywhere. With POP, once you download a message into your email client, it is no longer available on the server, and you would not be able to access it from any other email client. You are stuck with it only on the device you downloaded it onto.
2. Another difference between POP and IMAP is that the latter allows you to manage your inbox, such as by allowing you to create folders, whereas POP doesn't natively allow you to do this.
Essentially, POP is for people who only access their emails from one machine. IMAP is for people who need to access their email from multiple machines or devices.
