Managing Organization Change
This session provides a systematic approach for managing the human element when implementing major organizational change. Whether positive or negative, change is disruptive. It causes feelings of loss of control and generates resistance. Organizations and teams will be more successful when they plan and manage the human resistance to change. Participants will learn the elements of effective sponsorship, how to manage resistance and the process for developing effective change agents.
Outcomes:
Understand the barriers to change, how to leverage the strengths of the organization and the process for building organizational commitment to change
Develop and apply practical tactics and strategies to drive organizational change
PERSONAL CHANGE: AN OPPORTUNITY OR A THREAT?
This session looks at common reactions to positive and negative change and outlines steps for overcoming resistance. The focus is on managing personal change. It provides a methodology for moving self and others out of the maintenance cycle (status quo), through the transition phase and into the growth cycle (opportunity).
Outcomes:
Understand the effects of personal change including the impact of resistance
Understand the steps for moving into a growth cycle to manage personal change
Use the Transition Model to accelerate the change process
Understand the concept of developing "critical mass" to drive change
